Al Ahly host Wadi Degla on Wednesday night at Al Ahly We Al Salam Stadium in a game postponed from Week 22 of the Egyptian Premier League.
The Red Eagles have a chance to go top of the league if we managed to secure the three points against the relegation-threatened Wadi Degla.
We are second in the league table with 58 points from 26 games while Wadi Degla are in the 17th position with 23 points.
Pitso Mosimane, our head coach, announced the team’s squad on Wednesday and it included Karim Nedved’s name for the first time since April 2019.
However, our defensive line will miss two players: Badr Benoun, who picked up a cold, and Ayman Ashraf for suspension.
Also, we will miss five of our players who participated in the Olympic Games with Egypt's U-23 national team as our striker Salah Mohsen was named in the squad.
